Nolan’s Joker inspired by Johnny Rotten?

With Sci Fi Wire, The Dark Knight filmmaker Christopher Nolan explains that he looked to “punk rock pioneer” Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols, for his interpretation of Batman’s nemesis Joker. That inspiration helped Nolan and actor Heath Ledger collaborate on the famous villain.
