Batman almost went Beyond

Press the Action Button examines the direction the live-action Batman film franchise took after Batman & Robin disappointed fans in 1997. Using a screenplay from Paul Dini, Alan Burnett and Neal Stephenson, Boaz Yakin was set to direct an adaptation of the Batman Beyond animated series. In the end, however, Warner Bros. chose a Batman film that explored the Dark Knight’s past rather than his future.
